Tradition

Telugu Wedding photography

Telugu weddings hinge on the Jeelakarra Bellam moment and the Talambralu rice shower, which is the most joyful and hardest-to-shoot sequence of the day.

Questions

Telugu Wedding

01
Do you have photographers who have shot Telugu Weddings?
Yes. We assign crews who already know the Telugu ritual order, including Pellikoduku and Pellikuthuru, Snathakam, Kanyadanam, so nobody has to be told where to stand.
02
What time does a Telugu Wedding usually happen?
Morning muhurats, extended ritual sequence.
03
How many photographers do we need for a Telugu Wedding?
Two photographers and one cinematographer is the usual minimum for a single-venue ceremony. Where functions run in parallel, or the guest count crosses four hundred, we add a second team.
04
Which rituals matter most photographically?
Pellikoduku and Pellikuthuru (Pre-wedding rituals at both homes); Snathakam (Groom's thread ceremony); Kanyadanam (Bride given away); Jeelakarra Bellam (Cumin and jaggery paste placed on the head). These are unrepeatable, so the crew is positioned before they start.
