Local plan

Shooting a bengali wedding in Pune

Pune weddings run the full range, from a three-hour Marathi muhurat in a Peth wada to a three-day banquet celebration on the Mumbai-Bangalore highway belt. Most muhurats fall early in the morning, so the working light is soft and the schedule is tight.

Ceremonies at night, often past 11pm. Indoor lighting plan essential. In Pune that usually means the crew is at the venue well before the family, with lighting already rigged for the mandap.

Season note: November to February gives clear mornings and comfortable evenings. Monsoon weddings (June-September) need covered mandap plans and fast lenses.

Our Pune team covers the full PMC and PCMC belt plus Lonavala, Ahmednagar and Nashik as a same-day drive.

Questions

Bengali Wedding in Pune

01
Do you have photographers who have shot Bengali Weddings in Pune?
Yes. We assign crews who already know the Bengali ritual order, including Aiburo Bhat, Gaye Holud, Bor Boron, so nobody has to be told where to stand.
02
What time does a Bengali Wedding usually happen?
Ceremonies at night, often past 11pm. Indoor lighting plan essential.
03
How many photographers do we need for a Bengali Wedding?
Two photographers and one cinematographer is the usual minimum for a single-venue ceremony. Where functions run in parallel, or the guest count crosses four hundred, we add a second team.
04
Which rituals matter most photographically?
Aiburo Bhat (Last meal as a single person); Gaye Holud (Turmeric ceremony with fish and gifts); Bor Boron (Groom welcomed with the varan dala); Subho Drishti (First look over betel leaves). These are unrepeatable, so the crew is positioned before they start.
