Shooting a jain wedding in Pune
Pune weddings run the full range, from a three-hour Marathi muhurat in a Peth wada to a three-day banquet celebration on the Mumbai-Bangalore highway belt. Most muhurats fall early in the morning, so the working light is soft and the schedule is tight.
Morning to midday ceremonies. In Pune that usually means the crew is at the venue well before the family, with lighting already rigged for the mandap.
Season note: November to February gives clear mornings and comfortable evenings. Monsoon weddings (June-September) need covered mandap plans and fast lenses.
Our Pune team covers the full PMC and PCMC belt plus Lonavala, Ahmednagar and Nashik as a same-day drive.

Questions
Jain Wedding in Pune
- Do you have photographers who have shot Jain Weddings in Pune?
- Yes. We assign crews who already know the Jain ritual order, including Lagna Lekhan, Mada Mandap, Barati and Aarti, so nobody has to be told where to stand.
- What time does a Jain Wedding usually happen?
- Morning to midday ceremonies.
- How many photographers do we need for a Jain Wedding?
- Two photographers and one cinematographer is the usual minimum for a single-venue ceremony. Where functions run in parallel, or the guest count crosses four hundred, we add a second team.
- Which rituals matter most photographically?
- Lagna Lekhan (Wedding proposal written); Mada Mandap (Mandap ceremony); Barati and Aarti (Groom welcomed); Granthi Bandhan (Knot tied). These are unrepeatable, so the crew is positioned before they start.
